Prayer in Every City would like to start a new prayer movement across the United States. I want to encourage as many people as possible to pray for at least 5 minutes at noon every Friday for Revival and Spiritual Awakening in America. If at all possible, pray with another person or form a lunch group at work. It does not matter which time zone you live in, just pray at noon.
How to participate
Visit my Prayer in Every City blog every Friday and read my post “5 Minute Prayer Friday” to see the daily prayer focus. I will post early in the morning so you can view it before work. You can visit my blog either by smartphone or computer. In order keep record of the number of people praying, please have all participants visit the “5 Minute Prayer Friday” post. You do not have to leave any information unless you choose to comment. The counter works when you click on the post to open it. Set up an alarm on your cell phone which will go off every Friday at noon. I have an android and use the app called “Clock”.
Spread the Word
Please help this movement grow by spreading the word via e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or other social media. You can click on the appropriate icons below to share this post. If you follow my blog, you will receive e-mail reminders. I have made free printable business cards to help you remember to pray and invite others to join the movement.
Why pray at noon?
The Fulton Street Revival of 1857-1858 in New York City began as a result of a Wednesday noon prayer meeting, which met close to where the World Trade Center once stood. This meeting began the first week with only about 5-6 in attendance, the next week grew to 20, then hundreds attended. They soon began to meet every day. As a result, many pastors who attended hosted prayer meetings in their own churches. To find out more about this revival, visit Loudoun Times website. If we desire to see a Spiritual Awakening in America, we need to have united prayer across our nation.
