Coming Soon – New Blog Post Format and Experiment

School is just around the corner so that means I have more time on my hands. It also means that my fall Bible study is fast approaching. I have wanted to do this from the beginning of my blog, but decided to wait until my children were back in school. My ministry is designed to encourage people to form prayer groups and pray for Revival and Spiritual Awakening across America. I want to thank all of you who have already formed these groups. Besides forming these groups, I also want to teach people as much as I can about prayer and the Word of God. I have been a Precept Bible Study leader for 10 years so I will use my inductive Bible Study skills to teach you what I know. Beginning this Sunday, I am going to try a new format for my blog posts. Feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think.  The format will be as follows:

1. Celebration Sunday – A day to worship the Lord and spend time with family.
2. Memory Verse Monday – Weekly verse to memorize on prayer, the month of August will focus on prayer and fasting.
3. Avoid Temptation Tuesday – Focus on sins that hinder prayer.
4. Word Study Wednesday – I will post my weekly Bible study lesson. This will begin on August 21st. I will be using the book A Walk Thru the Book of Ephesians: Real Power for Daily Life for the study. You don’t need a book, however, because I like to teach straight from the Bible. We will learn how to Sit, Walk, Stand and Bow so we can stand firm in the evil day.
5. Throwback Thursday – stories about prayer warriors, quotes from famous preachers/teachers, book reviews, etc. I don’t want to narrow this category too much.
6. Fasting Friday – For the month of August, I will post on fasting and encouragement to practice this Biblical art.
7. School of Prayer Saturday – I will posts prayers as I always have on Prayer in Every City. I reserve this day for potluck teaching and posting of prayers.

I will also have a monthly focus, which I may change to bi-weekly depending on how this new format works. The month of August will focus on prayer and fasting. This is a forgotten art, which needs to be remembered.

Of course Prayer in Every City is all about encouraging Americans to pray for Revival and Spiritual Awakening in America so I will not forget this focus throughout my posts. If we want to pray for Revival and Spiritual Awakening, then we have to know what the Bible says about prayer and our Christian walk. I hope you will join us beginning this Sunday.
