Solar Eclipses and Blood Moons in 2015
We are less than a month away from a total solar eclipse which will occur on March 20, 2015. (Please see my post Solar Eclipse, Supermoon and Spring Equinox.) Little attention has been given to this solar eclipse, but it is as remarkable as the series of 4 Blood Moons. This tetrad of moons (a series of 4 full lunar eclipses in a row) began on Passover, April 15, 2014. In 2015 we will see two solar eclipses and the last two blood moons. Each mysteriously occurs on a Jewish Feast day or other day of significance.
To understand these dates, you will need to know a little about the Jewish Calendar. In the Bible, God established the Jewish religious calendar in the book of Exodus. This calendar is a lunar calendar, where each month begins with a new moon. Nisan, which occurs in the spring, was to be the first month of the year. Passover was to be celebrated every year on the 14th day of Nisan. Today, the Jewish people actually celebrate two new years within a calendar year. The first is Nisan 1 in the Spring, which is the beginning of the religious holidays. The second is Tishri 1 or Rosh Hashanah, which is the calendar new year. Please note that all Jewish days begin at sundown.
Blood Moons and Solar Eclipses
Blood Moon – April 15, 2014 (Passover)
Blood Moon – October 8, 2014 (Feast of Tabernacles)
Solar Eclipse – March 20, 2015 (Nisan 1, first calendar day of religious calendar), Exactly halfway between first and last blood moon,
Blood Moon – April 4, 2015 (Passover and day before Easter)
Solar Eclipse – September 13, 2015 (Elul 29, last day of secular calendar, beginning of Rosh Hashanah)
Blood Moon – September 28, 2015 (Feast of Tabernacles)
According to the Talmud, a collection of writings which help to interpret the Torah or the Law, blood moons and solar eclipses are warnings to Israel and the Gentile nations.
“When the Moon is in eclipse, it is a bad omen for Israel.”
“An eclipse of the sun is a bad omen for the world.”
The next astronomical event is the solar eclipse on March 20 or Nisan 1. Not only is this the religious new year, but it also has historical significance to the Jews.
Historical Significance of Nisan 1 (March 20, 2015)
According to Exodus 40:17, Moses raised up the tabernacle for the first time on this day. In Exodus 40:34 we are told that “the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. This solar eclipse marks the midpoint between the first and last blood moon.
What does all this mean?
Only time will tell. When God created the moon and the sun, he said in Genesis 1:14, “let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years”. This Hebrew word for signs means a signal, flag or beacon. When Jesus died on the cross, there was an eclipse that occurred that day. The prophet Joel said that the moon will be turned into blood before the great and glorious day of the Lord (Acts 2:19-21). Please do not ignore these signs in the sky. If God has put them there for us as a signal, He will eventually let us know why.
Skeptics
There are many skeptics today. Many people seem to have forgotten that our God is a miracle working God. He parted the Red Sea, fed the Jews manna in the desert, raised the dead and fed the 5000. Why is it so hard for Christians to believe that God could possible be giving us a sign in the sky? Did he not place a star in the sky when Jesus was born?
End Time Warning
I believe God is warning us that we are living in the end times. Please see my post “4 Blood Moons – Something Has Already Changed” to review many of the events that have occurred since the first Blood Moon. Please do not be caught off guard. The prophecies are being fulfilled daily. The key players for the Battle of Gog (Ezekiel 38-39) are lining up. You do not want to be one of the foolish virgins in the parable found in Matthew 25:1-13, who failed to fill their lamps before the Lord’s return.
I have been criticized for my posts on the Blood Moons, but I will not let this stop me from warning people that we are living in the last days. Are you willing to warn people? Are you willing to put your reputation on line for the Lord? Many will die and go to hell because we have failed to warn them of judgment to come.

these are a very real warning with all these signs in the heavens….just as Egypt was warned so is all those living are warned
I totally agree with you, Sharon. I wish more people would heed the warnings, but there are many skeptics.
just as in the days of Noah so shall it be in the last days but not with a flood no… pillars of fire raining down… judgements of YHWH upon the earth…. Israel is where Our Savior came from..we need to honor God and repent as a nation for forgiveness Yahshua/ Jesus is not happy with us here on planet earth…when His foot comes down and hits the Mt of olives according to Zechariah 14.it is not and enjoyable moment…..the bride is not ready who say love the Lord yet hate their brother
I agree that the bride is not ready. That is my intent with this blog. It is time that the bride prepare herself for the wedding feast.
