Freedom Friday – Prayer for America

Lincoln MemorialIt’s Freedom Friday! America needs our prayers more than every. I don’t want to be too political on my blog because politics will not change the face of America. Neither the Republicans nor the Democrats can change the problems in America. Only God can change America. Our problems are a result of moral decay and that is the bottom line. Gangs exist because the members do not respect God or authority. Abortion exists because we don’t respect the sanctity of life. Sexually transmitted diseases exist because we don’t respect God’s command that sex is to be between one husband and one wife. Jesus is the answer to all these moral issues. When a person accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior and then the Holy Spirit resides in their heart, the desire for sin will go away. If this desire doesn’t go away, then genuine conversion didn’t happen. If we want to save America, then two things need to happen: more prayer and more evangelism. You cannot have one without the other. Evangelism without prayer is dead and prayer without evangelism is useless.

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, to bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:14-15 (NKJV).

Today we will pray for God to send out evangelists and prayer warriors for America. I have found a scripture that the old preachers of revival would use when they prayed and we will pray this today.

Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession. Psalms 2:8 (NKJV)

Many would say that this verse doesn’t apply to us because it is a prophecy for Jesus Christ. I disagree because I have an inheritance waiting for me in heaven according to the book of Ephesians. I am going to pray that the Lord will give Jesus the youth of America.

Lord, we thank you because you are the God of all and you are merciful, longsuffering, and kind. We pray that you will forgive Americans for our moral decay. Please forgive us for murder, abortion, sexual immorality, homosexuality, bribery, theft, lying, cheating, and all the other sins we commit against You. We humbly come before you now because we know that without You America will collapse. We pray that You will heal the hearts of those in this country. There are many young women and children who are suffering from poverty and abuse. Many men will not take responsibility and help to raise their children and this is why we have so many gangs. Please forgive us as a nation. Please forgive us because we believe that the government can save us. Lord we pray that you will send out genuine evangelists who know how to win people to the Lord Biblically through the use of the Law or 10 Commandments. We pray that you will also raise up mighty prayer warriors who are willing to live holy lives so that their prayers are heard. We pray that the church will start to live according to Your commands in the book of Ephesians so the world can see a difference in us. Most of all we pray for the youth in America who have never been taught a Biblical way to live. We pray that You will give them as an inheritance to Jesus Christ. Please do not allow Satan to win this generation for himself. We pray that these evangelist will be filled with the Holy Spirit and will be able to win the hearts of our youth for Jesus Christ. We pray for revival in our churches and spiritual awakening for our nation. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Satan and all demons, we bind you in the name of Jesus Christ from the grip you have on our youth in America. You have no power over them because we are claiming the Millennial Generation for Jesus Christ. By Jesus’ shed blood you are defeated.
