Pray the this prayer for your teenagers and their friends. If you have a wayward child, do no give up hope. Find someone to pray with you, because there is power in united prayer. "One of the mightiest men of prayer of the last generation was George Mueller of Bristol, England, who in the last sixty years of his life (he lived to be ninety-two or ninety-three) obtained the English equivalent of $7,200,000.00 by prayer. But George Mueller never prayed for a thing just because he wanted it, or even just because he felt it was greatly needed for God’s work. When it was laid upon George Mueller’s heart to pray for anything, he would search the Scriptures to find if there was some promise that covered the case. Sometimes he would search the scriptures for days before he presented his petition to God. And then when he found the promise, with his open Bible before him, and his finger upon that promise, he would plead that promise, and so he received what he asked. He always prayed with an open Bible before him" – R. A. Torrey. The Power of Prayer. 1924 (P. 81). If you would like to learn how to accept Christ, click here. For Scriptures click here

10 Prayers for Teens

  1. Lord, please help my teen to choose his/her friends carefully.
    1. The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray. Prov 12:26 (NKJV)
    2.  Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. 2 Cor 6:14 (NKJV)
  2. Lord, please help my teen to not be conformed to the world.
    1. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21 (NKJV)
    2. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
    3. For all that is in the world–the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life–is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. 1 John 2:16-17 (NKJV)

      But the simple pass on and are punished. Prov 22:3 (NKJV)
  3. Lord, please help my teen to only speak wholesome words and to learn how to speak words of encouragment.
    1. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. Eph 4:29 (NKJV)
  4. Lord, please help my teen to understand the importance of remaining pure until marriage.
    1. Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; Eph 5:1-3 (NASB)
  5. Lord, please help my teen to seek your will in every decision.
    1. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Matt 6:33-34 (NKJV)
    2. Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
      And lean not on your own understanding;
      In all your ways acknowledge Him,
      And He shall direct your paths. Prov 3:5-6 (NKJV)
    3. With my whole heart I have sought You;

      And do not despise your mother when she is old. Prov 23:22 (NKJV)
  7. Lord, please give my teen wisdom, knowledge, and open the eyes of his/her understanding.
    1.  I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, Eph 1:16-18 (NKJV)
    2. Do not be wise in your own eyes;
      Fear the LORD and depart from evil. Prov 3:7 (NKJV)
  8. Lord, please protect my teen from diseases and accidents.
    1. If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you. Ex 15:26 (NKJV)
    2. Psalm 91
  9. Lord, please help my teen to be courageous and be willing to take a stand even if he/she is the only one standing.
    1. Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. Josh 1:9 (NKJV)
    2. Who will rise up for me against the evildoers?
      Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity? Psalms 94:16 (NKJV)
  10. Lord, please help my teen to love reading Your Word.
    1. I will delight myself in Your statutes;
      I will not forget Your word. Psalms 119:16 (NKJV)
    2.  Blessed is the man
      Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
      Nor stands in the path of sinners,
      Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
      2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
      And in His law he meditates day and night.
      3 He shall be like a tree
      Planted by the rivers of water,
      That brings forth its fruit in its season,
      Whose leaf also shall not wither;
      And whatever he does shall prosper. Psalms 1:1-3 (NKJV)
