Praise to the Lord – 4 of Thailand Soccer Team Rescued
Praise Report
Praise the Lord that 4 of the Thailand Soccer Team has been rescued. I was thrilled this morning when I woke up to find that 2 had been rescued, then the news of 2 more rescues came soon after. Since Thailand is 11 hours ahead of the Eastern time zone, most of this took place while I was sleeping. More of the cave has been drained so the boys were able to walk or crawl through part of the journey. This saved time so the trip did not take as long as suspected, although there is still significant amount of water to scuba through. I cannot post links to news websites, but you can type in cave rescue on Google to keep up-to-date on this ongoing ordeal.
Please continue to pray for the boys, the coach, their families and the rescuers. The entire operation is extremely dangerous so we can’t stop praying until all boys and the coach are safe.
Prayer Points
We praise you Lord for the rescue of 4 boys (Psalm 100)
Pray the Lord will hold off the rain so the cave will stop filling with water (1 Kings 17:1)
Pray the Lord will stop the flow of water into the cave so they can walk rather than swim (Joshua 3:14-17)
Pray the boys will not be fearful as they scuba dive out (Joshua 1:9)
Pray for the protection of the boys, coach and rescuers (Isaiah 43:2)
Pray for the salvation of the soccer team, coach and the people of Thailand (1 Timothy 2:1-4)
Pray for forgiveness of idol worship for the nation of Thailand (Exodus 20:3-5)
Pray for Thailand
After this ordeal is over, would you continue to pray for the country of Thailand? It is located in the 10/40 Window which is home to some of the largest unreached people groups in the world. To be considered unreached and unengaged a group must have less that 2% who are professing Christians. This group contains mostly Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists.
The Lord has allowed this event to take place for a reason. The entire world’s attention has been focused on this situation for 2 weeks. When has Thailand ever recieved such prayer support? We should pray for the salvation of these nations and for the Lord to send laborers to the harvest (Luke 10:2). What would happen to these nations, if they received as much prayer support for the lost as we have prayed for these boys?
