10 Valentine’s Day Prayers for Married Couples
LORD, HELP US TO…
- Enjoy life together all the days of our lives. Eccl. 9:9-10
- Remember that Christ should be the center of our marriage. Eccl. 4:9-12, Eph. 5:22-33
- Pray together every day for our marriage, each other and our children. Matt. 18:20
- Live a Godly lifestyle where the wife is submissive to the husband and the husband lives with the wife with understanding and shows her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life so that our prayers will not be hindered. 1 Peter 3:7, Mal. 2:14-16, Eph. 5:22-33
- Be faithful to one another all the days of our lives. Let us covenant with our eyes not to gaze at another man or woman. Heb. 13:4, Job 31:1
- Understand that our marriage is a covenant made before you and that you hate divorce. Mark 10:2-9, Malachi 2;14-16
- Preserve the unity of the Spirit in our marriage, show tolerance for one another, be hospitable to one another and to friends, serve one another, speak kindly to one another, be patient, kind, trustworthy, humble, but most of all help us to increase and abound in love for one another. Eph. 4:1-3, 1 Thess. 3:12, 1 Cor. 13:4-8, 1 Peter 4:7-11
- Not be bitter towards one another, hold grudges or let the sun go down on our anger. Col. 3:18-19
- Not allow our parents to interfere in our marriage, but enable us to leave our father and mother and cleave to one another. Gen. 2:24, Eph. 5:31
- Not deprive each other of sexual desires so that Satan will not temp us because of lack of self-control. 1 Cor. 7:1-5
AMEN
