A Charlie Brown Christmas Scripture Memorization – Luke 2:10-12
I hope you will take the time this holiday season to memorize some Christmas scripture. This is a busy time of the year, but with careful planning you can memorize scripture.
I have a pretty business card holder on my kitchen table with Bible verses printed on business card size paper. Whenever I am eating a meal, I memorize my verse for the week. You can have cards in your bathroom, car, kitchen or wherever you spend a lot of time. Try typing it into your notes section of your cell phone and it will be with you all the time. Be creative and the Lord will bless your efforts. I memorized last weeks verse over breakfast.
The verses for this week are another of my favorite Christmas scriptures. When I was a child, the choir in my church had a Christmas Cantata where the songs were taken directly from scripture. I was surprised at how much of the Christmas story I memorized while listening to the choir rehearsals. If you don’t like the version of the Bible which I am using, then try another version. I believe that the King James Version is the easiest to memorize, but chose your own.
Did you know that this was the scripture that Linus quoted in the movie, “A Charlie Brown Christmas”? I have included a link to Linus quoting these verses on “A Charlie Brown Christmas”; A Charlie Brown Christmas. If Linus can memorize it in the King James Version, then so can I.
Memory Verse
“Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord” Luke 2:10-11 (KJV).
I might even try to memorize more, but I will start with verses 10-11.
Merry Christmas from Prayer in Every City.

Great post! Unfortunately it was the use of one scripture in A Charlie Brown Christmas that caused it to be censored.. Isaiah 5:20
I just took a trip to New York. Even though only 3% of New Yorkers profess to know Christ, the Rockette’s Christmas Spectacular quotes from the Bible in the show. With 6,000 in attendance at each performance, I realized that God is everywhere. We can censor all we want, but God is still there. Even in gospel hardened NYC, He is there.
Amen! Thank you for sharing the good news 🙂
