Happy 3rd Birthday Prayer in Every City

Happy 3rd Birthday to Prayer in Every City.  Who would have thought that I would still be blogging after 3 years? I don’t even consider myself a writer. You, my audience, have made this possible. Thank you for your faithfulness and desire to pray for our nation.

If you are new to Prayer in Every City, you might wonder what this ministry is all about. My purpose of this ministry is to teach people how to pray and encourage people to pray united prayer. I want people in every city in America to pray for Revival and Spiritual Awakening. I would love to see 1,200 Prayer in Every City prayer groups praying all over America. If we desire to have a Spiritual Awakening in America, it will take the prayers of many people uniting together.

The Lord called me to this ministry 3 years ago. It all happened as I was cooking breakfast one morning in March of 2013. I had a thought in my head, “A New Thing, a new thing, a new thing”. I  asked the Lord, “Are you trying to tell me something?” He clearly spoke in my mind and said, “Yes, look this verse up”. This phrase, “A New Thing”, just happened to be one of the titles in my favorite book, Go Home and Tell, by Bertha Smith. I have read this book so many times that I could see the title on the page as the Lord spoke to me. I knew this was a verse from Isaiah so I went to my laptop to find it.

“Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert” Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV).

I became very excited and asked the Lord what the new thing was going to be. There was silence. Why would He give me such an exciting verse, but not tell me what it means? I had to wait two weeks for more details. I believer the Lord gives me assignments in pieces to teach me patience. I am so eager when the Lord speaks to me, that I try to accomplish His assignments quickly and in my own strength. The Lord’s timing is usually much slower than I would like for it to be.

Two weeks after the Lord gave me this verse, he told me to start the blog.

I want to encourage you to step out in faith when the Lord asks you to do something. God will always supply the resources and help when He calls you to a task. There is no greater joy in life than to walk in obedience with the Lord.

Thank you for all your support over the past 3 years. If it were not for the Lord and my followers, there would be no Prayer in Every City. Please unite with me in prayer for our nation. I have an even better plan; form a prayer group to pray for America.
