Boot Camp 101 – Scripture Memory

It’s finally here, Revival Boot Camp. Many of you are probably wondering what this is all about? Most of the people who read my blog are learning about prayer or wanting to enhance their prayer lives. Many of you are praying for revival and spiritual awakening in America, but do we really know what that means? These two concepts, revival and spiritual awakening, actually have two different meanings. Revival is a reviving of a dead, legalistic, religious church; whereas, spiritual awakening is the awakening of the lost. In order to be revived, you have to have been alive at one time or another.

America needs revival preachers and teachers
Even though there are many praying for revival, prayer is not enough to bring about revival and spiritual awakening. What America and the world needs are people preaching and teaching the revival message. You do not have to be a preacher to tell others this message.

We will learn the revival message and how to share our faith.
During Revival Boot Camp, I plan to teach you the revival message. You will learn how to share your faith the way the revival preachers and missionaries did during the Great Awakenings.

Don’t Leave Without the Power.
Since this is the first week of boot camp, we will begin with the basics. The most important thing to remember, if you are witnessing to someone or teaching the revival message, you are not the one who can convict a person’s heart. Only the Holy Spirit can change a heart. Your job is to be the messenger. You do not have to be eloquent in speech, either. The Holy Spirit uses vessels with a pure, willing heart. Great Awakenings will not happen with the smooth talking preachers of today. God will send revival to the preachers and teachers who are not afraid to talk about sin, repentance and getting right with God.

Remember, the power is from the Holy Spirit. Don’t leave without the power!
