Too Busy to Pray During the Holidays

When I was at the gym, yesterday, I was reminded of the definition of discipline: doing what needs to be done even when you don’t want to do it. I hope you will be disciplined to pray during the month of December. Don’t become too distracted with the activities to pray. Continue to pay attention to the news to see what is going on around you.

Prayer In Every City

christmas-cookiesIt’s Avoid Temptation Tuesday and I am not talking about cookies. Although, I would do well to avoid those too. On the Prayer in Every City blog we dedicate Tuesday to confession day. According to Psalm 66:18, our sin can hinder our prayers from being heard from the Lord. Even the little sins can hinder our prayers. When we compare ourselves to others, we can look mighty good, but we have to look at God’s holy standards. He even examines our thought life. I love this verse from Song of Solomon, “Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes” Song 2:15 (KJV).
