What to Do:5 Minute Prayer Friday

Gather as many people as possible to pray with you. At noon today, no matter what time zone you live in, stop what you are doing a doing and pray for at least 5 Minutes for Revival and Spiritual Awakening for America and around the world. All participants should visit my blog http://prayerineverycity.com and click on the “5 Minute Prayer Friday” post so we can see how many people have prayed. Set up an alarm on your cell phone, if you have one, which will go off every Friday at noon. I have an android and use the app called “Clock”. Prayer Focus: Women in Iraq who have been sold into sex slavery.

I read a newspaper article this week about a woman being held by ISIS in Iraq. She told of being raped 30 times in a matter of hours. She was pleading with the West to bomb the building where these women are located to put them out of their misery. Here is a link to the article, but it is not for young eyes or for the weak at heart: “I have been raped 30 times. . .” We must pray that ISIS will be stopped.

  1. I have been praying for this industry here in the US and will lift these women up too. But as I was praying I was thinking what would it take to stop it altogether and God reminded me of the verse in Ezekiel about removing israel’s heart of stone and giving them a heart of flesh. I began to pray for ISIS.
It’s overwhelming the depth of evil from this group and they need Jesus! Anyway- I wonder what God would do through praying Christians who lift up ISIS on a daily basis.
And by the way- I’m the weak of heart you mentioned and cannot read such articles. It stays with me and causes me fear and anxiety- even guilt that I’m not the one being tormented and I don’t deserve my life.
