Prayer In Every City

GethsemaneToday I would like you to read the following passages in your Bible about Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane: Matt. 26:36-56 and Luke 22:39-53. I recommend reading both accounts because you will gain more information by reading both. My pastor preached on this story this past Sunday and spoke about Jesus’ prayer. I want to focus on Jesus’ prayer and the disciples lack of prayer. I will not tell the entire story, but only focus on the prayer lives of Jesus and the disciples.

Jesus went into the garden and told His disciples to pray that they might not enter into temptation. He then walked away from them to pray Himself.
