Memory Verse Monday – Romans 12:2

Old Mill – Berry College

It’s Memory Verse Monday. Now that school is back in session, I hope I will devote more time to my scripture memory. Do you know why I like to memorize scripture? There are several reasons to do this, but I like it most of all because it causes me to slow down and reflect on what God is really saying in His Word. We live in a society which wants everything super fast, so we seldom take time to slow down. When I memorize scripture, I make sure that I know what every word means. As the week progresses, I grasp a deeper meaning of every verse I memorize. Not to mention the fact that the Holy Spirit will bring these verses to my memory for peace and comfort. I hope that you will take the time this week to memorize this verse.

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” Romans 12:2 (NKJV).
