Memory Verse Monday – Matthew 18:20
It’s Memory Verse Monday. I haven’t done one a memory verse in a few weeks so it is time to memorize another scripture verse before we get out of the habit. This morning I was at a loss as to what to post this week. Whenever I suffer from writer’s block, I pray to the Lord for inspiration. As I was praying, the Lord impressed on my heart to encourage people this week to form prayer groups to pray for America. The reason I began this ministry was to try to unite churches in prayer and to encourage individuals to form prayer groups. I had my fourth Prayer in Every City prayer meeting last week. During our prayer time, I asked the Lord, “What is next, Lord?” I have worked for one year to encourage the churches in my area to pray together, but now that we are praying together I need the next step. I believe the next step is to work on individual prayer groups.
This week I hope you will take the time to memorize Matthew 18:20. Before I began this blog, I never took the time to memorize scripture, but now I work on it during the week. The best way for me to memorize scripture is to write the scripture on a notecard and leave it at the kitchen table. I then work on it during breakfast and lunch. Please find a method which works for you and stick with it. It will be so rewarding that you will not feel it to be a burden for long. The first time the Lord brings the verse to your mind for comfort, you will be hooked. Here is the verse for this week:
