Memory Verse Monday – Eph. 3:20
It’s Memory Verse Monday. I hope that you will diligently work on memorizing this verse or another verse of the Bible this week. When we have God’s Word stored in our hearts, He is able to comfort us with these verses in times of need. God’s Word strengthens us, comforts us and directs us. Why would you not want to have some verses memorized for an emergency?
Write this verse out on a notecard and place it on your kitchen table, tape it to your bathroom window and put a copy in your car. You are sure to be able to find some time during the day to work on this, if it is easily accessible. I love the two words, exceedingly abundantly, in this verse. These words have rung in my head all week long so I decided that I needed to commit this verse to memory. Did you know that God is capable of answering our prayers above and beyond what we could ever ask? The Bible also says, “You do not have because you do not ask” (James 4:2 NKJV). So what can we learn from this? We need to pray and ask God for what we need, but we don’t need to tell Him how to do His job. The Bible says he knows what we need before we ask and He can do more than we could ever ask. Why pray, then? Because God wants to include us in His kingdom work. Have a great week!
Memory Verse
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. . .” (Ephesians 3:20 NKJV).
