Memory Verse Monday – Prov. 24:5
It’s the last Memory Verse Monday for our Spiritual Renewal Month. I hope that you have grown in your faith during this time. If you are new to Prayer in Every City, we have spent the month of January focusing on Spiritual Renewal through our 10 Biblical New Years Resolution’s. Even if you have missed most of this month, it is never too late to start. Remember that there is no substitute for prayer and spending time in the Word of God. This month I have focused on the works of the Holy Spirit in our lives. I will have one more post this Wednesday on walking in the Spirit. If we heed to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in our lives, the prayer and Bible study will come naturally and with joy. If you dread praying and reading the Bible, then ask the Holy Spirit to give you a new love for these.
Our verse for this week is Proverbs 24:5.
A wise man is strong, Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength. Prov. 24:5 (NKJV)
We can have physical strength and still shake in the knees when we are scared, but the person who is rooted in the Word will be able to stand firm in the evil day.
I hope you will join us for our final week of Spiritual Renewal. Some of you will be starting your journey to renewal and others will be continuing on your journey. Just remember that the journey never ends. We need daily food to sustain our physical bodies and the spiritual food of prayer and Bible study to sustain our spirit.
