10 Bible Verses on Feeding the Poor
Today is Memory Verse Monday. Our theme for this week will be New Year’s Resolution #8, “Do something nice for someone every week”. My posts will specifically be related to helping the poor. In America we seem to have left this task up to our government, when the Lord intended for this to be a function of the church. The memory verse for this week will be Matthew 10:42. If you would like a copy of the memory verses for this month, click here: Scripture Memory Printable Cards. Below I will list 10 Bible verses on feeding the poor. There are many verses in the Old and New Testament on this topic, but most of these will be from the New.
Matthew 10:42 (NKJV) (Scripture Memory Verse)
42 And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold
water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no
means lose his reward.”
