Prayer for Philippines

Lord we pray for the people in the Philippines who have been devastated by this massive Typhoon Haiyan. It is difficult for us to understand why You allow these storms to destroy so many people’s lives, but we know that Your thoughts are not our thoughts and Your ways are not our ways. You say in Your Word that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” Romans 8:28 (NKJV). We pray that You will use this disaster to bring people into Your Kingdom. Please send Christians to help them rebuild and share the Gospel message to those who need the hope of salvation. We pray that Your Spirit will comfort those who are suffering. Thank You for the worldwide response of those who are sending aid to this country. In a world filled with hate, it is a blessing to know that there are those who are willing to help people in need. To those who have lost loved ones, help them to realize that time on earth is short and no one is guaranteed tomorrow. Make us all use our time on earth wisely to help others and to not waste time on frivolous things. Please heal the brokenhearted and those who were injured during this storm. In Jesus Name, Amen.
