The 7 Deadly Sins
Do you know what man has labeled as the 7 deadly sins? To find the answer to this question, then you must go to the source of all knowledge, the internet, to find out. I only give biblical answers to life’s problems on this blog. According to the Word of God, all sin is deadly. God told Adam and Eve to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 “but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die” Gen 2:16-17 (NKJV). The Bible also says,”For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 6:23 (NKJV). All sin in the Bible is deadly, because it all results in death. When a person dies in his/her sin, they will end up in hell. God had His Son, Jesus Christ, die on the cross to take the punishment for the crime of sin that we have committed. In order to be saved, a person must repent and turn from his/her sins, put his/her faith in Jesus Christ as the only way to God and heaven, and this person shall be granted everlasting life. Even if a person has accepted Christ and his/her sins are covered by Jesus’ shed blood, this is not a license to sin. The Bible says, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” Romans 6:1-2 (KJV). Believers cannot walk in the Spirit with unconfessed sin in their lives. “He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy” Prov 28:13 (NKJV).
I may not have answered your question about the 7 deadly sins, but God does have a list of 7 sins which he hates.
“These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren” Prov 6:16-19 (NKJV).
If you have committed any of these sins, then confess and forsake them now. Your prayer life depends on it as well as your Christian reputation.
