How to Form a Prayer Group

Smyrna, Georgia

In the book of Acts, the church was devoted to prayer. Paul tells the believers in the book or Romans to “be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer.” Romans 12:10-12 (NASB). Many people in America are praying for revival and spiritual awakening, but the missing element is united prayer. Prayer in Every City would like to see over 1,200 prayer groups across America praying for revival and spiritual awakening.

It is easy to form a prayer group with Prayer in Every City, so just follow the simple instructions below:
1.Decide to be a prayer group leader by filling out the form below.
2.A prayer group can be held in a home, office, park, school, church or anywhere you choose.
3.A prayer group should have at least 2 people praying together. This could be your spouse, family members, friends, neighbors and/or church members.
4.The prayer group leader is responsible for recruiting members and distributing the free downloadable prayer guide, Prayer in Every City Spring 2013 and the
Sin List from A-Z.
5.The prayer guide is designed to help you organize the topics to pray over. For example a prayer session could be led like this: According to the prayer guide, begin your prayer time with praise, then have a quiet time of confession by using the Sin List from A-Z, after the confession members can pray for communities (covering topics of Boldness, Unsaved, Schools, Believers), pray for Churches (covering topics of Individual Members, Families, Leaders, Spiritual Awakening), and last up not least pray for our nation (covering the topics of Repentance and Spiritual Awakening). The prayer guide is not to dictate what to pray, but to give you ideas of how to pray. Many people feel more comfortable praying out loud if they have some topics to pray over.
6.The prayer group leader will guide the members through prayer at each meeting. You can either divide up the prayer topics or each member prays over every topic. This can be determined by the leader. You wish to mix it up weekly so the meetings do not become dull.
7.A prayer group should meet either weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.
8.A prayer group leader must agree with our statement of faith.

If you would like to form a prayer group, please fill out the information below. I will then add your city and state to my list. I will not share your information with anyone. As you can see, I have taken the very minimum information that I can.
