Prayer for Plaza Towers Elementary School and the Town of Moore, Oklahoma

Lord, words cannot express how to pray during such a time as this. We know that your thoughts are not our thoughts and your ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8). We do not understand why you have allowed this to happen. Whenever we do not know what to say, the Bible says it best. Thank you for providing us with comforting words offered in Your Holy Word.

The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
