Memory Verse Monday – Ephesians 2:8-9

It’s Memory Verse Monday! We will be looking at Ephesians 2 this week so I chose an important verse from this chapter to memorize this week.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. Eph 2:8-9 (NKJV)

Most religions of the world require you to do good works for salvation, but Christianity is different. Christ died on the cross so we could have the free gift of salvation. We don’t have to do good works, but only repent of our sin for salvation.
